As per RTI Act you have to seek information that is in CD or document form. Reply from CPIO giving reason/s and subsequent clarification about the reason/s given is not envisaged in the Act.
The best solution is to send a rejoinder to PIO where you can ask certain clarifications about his previous reply.

Sir, is there any time limit to send a rejoinder to PIO. I already appeal to the appellate authority for the full detail of reason and waiting for reply from appellate authority

If CPIO denies the information then only you got to appellate authority.
