Sir, me (An Indian Muslim) and my wife got married in india before 4 years, we have a 3 year old child.We were living in dubai.My wife filed for divorce in dubai and false 498a in india.She told dubai court that i was not giving her financial support till our marriage (which is totally false).I didnt have proof that i was maintaining them financially.Dubai court granted her divorce and asked me to pay previous maintenance which is about 18 lakh indian rupees. I'm in india now and jobless as i lost my job in dubai. Is it possible for her to enforce the dubai judgement in india, i dont have any property or bank balance. I'm not in a situation to afford such an amount.What will be the penalty for not paying the amount ordered by dubai court.
