Joining client organisation

Joined a competition whom the company claims as client. My non solicitation clause reads as- cannot join client whom I have provided services. I am sales person. I have not provided services to this client. Beyond restrictive covenants are void what are the defence positions possible

Dear Ravi,

As per me you are bound with previous contract. So if you join your client your previous employer may take legal action against you.
