Dear Experts,
My borther residing in US intends to give his property on 11mths lease/ contract. How should I go about it to be sound in the legal aspects.Can i make an agreement in my name because the owner is not present? Is it valid?

You can take a POA from your brother to execute the agreement, you cannot execute it on your name on his behalf without a valid POA.

first your brother should give execute the General Power of Attorney in your favour, and you must notarized the GPA in india and then you can exeute Lease deed to 3rd parties on behalf of your brother.
