Hello, Greetings of the day!

Indeed, if men can't uphold themselves financially, they can ask support from their spouses who are financially wealthy and earning more than them. This should be possible under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, which makes reference to the both husband and wife as obligated to making such a case.

Hope it helps

Regards,

Sneha Jaiswal

respected ma'am

A man can claim maintenance if he cannot support himself financially under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. Both husband and wife are liable for seeking maintenance. Section 25 of the said act provides permanent alimony and maintenance if an application is made to the court by the wife or husband.
