Maintenance to wife

Can anybody suggest legality in the below case

Child custody case won by husband :  Children 17 years girsl and boy 14 years under custody of husband and taking care of all aspect school, extra curricular and related services from morning to evening --wife doing nothing.

Husband -  professionally qualified and employed --- suddenly no job now.

Wife well qualified and capable of working but not working now and claiming she is not medically fit to work now (age 46 years) filed maintenace and claiming huge money.

Can husband deny maintenance to wife and make a court petition and ask her to go for work will this stand according to law and under the present situation of husband.

Reg,

Simhan

court will see salary of both sides. if you have no job right now there will be no maintaince granted. also you have custody of children so it will very difficult for wife to get money.
