Married daughter's right to inherit mother's property

With reference to the ancestral property I wanted to check - as per the Supreme Court judgement, the father would have had to be alive on September 9, 2005, if the daughter were to become a co-sharer with her male siblings. - See more at: https://indianexpress.com/article/india/india-news-india/supreme-court-sets-2005-cut-off-on-women-right-to-ancestral-property/#sthash.1fnq175c.dpuf

My query is whether this applies equally to mother's property as well i.e. if the property is in the name of the mother and mother has expired intestate before 9th Sep, 2005, the daughter will not have any right to such property ?
