Me and my wife applied for a mutual divorce a month ago and I have received a SR number for the court.
My wife has gone back to her parents and they brain washed her to file 498a on me and my entire family. I was remanded for 4 days and my family was hiding till we got bail from them. Looks like my MCD application is not moving forward as it has been held by my wife's lawyer but submitting a memo. With my MCD application,there was a MOU that was filed by us stating she received 100,000 as permenant alimony by cheque and that has been encashed into her account and she would further not file any civil/criminal case against me and my family. When I was picked up by cops from women cell I was asked to sign another MOU and I was asked to agree to pay another 10 lakhs to do the settlement. I denied and got myself remanded.
It was like legal kidnapping and money extortion to me. But I made myself strong by not signing that MOU and got myself remanded.
I really want divorce from my wife as she is very cruel. Can I get my MCD amended to a contested one and fight the case?
