My religion was written wrong at the time of special marriage act

I'm married to a hindu guy , and my real religion is Christian by birth. But at the time of registration of our marriage my religion was written Hinduism. Now I'm confused whey my religion is corrected or not.

Please help someone

You have stated to be christian by birth, whereas adopted / professing Hinduism at the time of your marriage; wherein a Hindu can get his marriage solemanised and registered under the provisions of Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 but not under Special Marriage Act.

Show the relevant documents to a local prudent lawyer for better appreciation of facts and professional advise for further action.
