National Conference on Post Budget Discussion

The Union Budget 2014-15 is being presented in the second week of July. Since this will be the first budget by the new Government, there could be shift in the direction of tax policy and tax structure which may have impact on all tax payers and significant impact on certain businesses. The Tax Administration Reform Commission has also submitted its first report and some of its recommendations may find place in the Budget proposals. Government may also announce long term tax reform initiatives like implementation of GST and taxation of cross border transactions and investments.

 

In order to bring greater awareness about the new tax proposals in the Union Budget 2014-15 and to provide clarifications across the table to all stakeholders, ASSOCHAM is organizing a National Conference on Post Budget Discussion as per the following schedule:

We have invited Shri Shaktikanta Das, Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance to Inaugurate the Conference in both the cities. The Conference will also be addressed by the senior officials from CBEC, CBDT and Tax Department in New Delhi & Mumbai. The Chief Commissioner & Commissioners Service Tax Mumbai have already consented to address and the confirmation from CBEC & CBDT is likely to be received shortly. The conferences will also be addressed by other experts from the Industry / Tax profession including:-
