Need advice for my problem

Hi everyone,

My name is neelu, i had a problem. i was in love vt a boy since 3 years. we both love each other deeply.My parents and his parents accepted our love and also came for marriage looks. 25 people came from the boys side and we are nearly 10 people. everything was decided like dowry and the things need to be given in marriage and all. these all was written in a white paper and got signed by my father and the boys father.

After a week days they said they are not intrested in this marriage and canclled withought saying any reasons.my parents asked them and even touched their feet not to spoil the girls life as it was known to everyone since 3 years. but they did not care and ill treated my parents saying bad words.And also they brought some people saying that we will settle the matter. the settlers said we have some political powers And my boyfriend did not speak anything regarding this to their parents and said that he also dosent love me any more in front of them. v all were upset by this. it is already 2 month all this happened. as i was in serious relationship vt him since 3 years he also loves me a lot. but i dont know y he is behaving like this. i asked him personally y u did all this 2me what was the reason. my parents wants more dowry so i cant marry.

one day while i was on my way to office he came near me and said i want u but our relationship must me kept as a secret in the society. i did not accept for that and i moved on my way weeping. I felt very bad when he spoke with me also this stuff . after a week he came to me and said i vl kill u.

i gave him lots of money for his visa , his shopping, sometimes for his personal needs and all nearly 1 lakh rs. he also gave me nearly 60000 for my shopping while he was in usa. he is having proofs as he transfered through bank. but always i gave him money from my atm when he was in india.

i was in relation with him since 3 years and now i came to know that he chaeted me completely in the name of marriage, so i want to file a case on him.

i am having proofs of his messages saying love u, and some call recordings saying i vl convinence my parents for marriage and alsomany emails sent by him that i love u.

so please suggest me what kind of case can i file on him for doing all this to me and my family. they really tortured us and he deceived me and my family in the name of love for 3 years.

Dear Neelu,

You may file a suit for breach of promise to marriage as well as compensatory damages for injury to feelings, health and reputation. You may also recover damages for financial loss resulting from breach of promise to marriage. Consult local advocate.

Thanks for ur advice dilip, will i be able to file a cheating case as he cheated me and also played with my future as i cant go for another marriage.

He came from usa to meet me withought knowing to his parents and he has taken me 2 hotel and we both stayed for 3 days . and also i got the recipt of the hotel vt me. it was in his name and also as the time of bill payment it was also signed by my boyfriend.and after 3 days he went back to usa. so his passport says he came to india and stayed for 3 days and went back to usa. the hotel recipt shows he stayed in hotel for 3 days.

File a case of dowry harassment and cheating. FIR may be lodged with the police against the boy and his parents. But the buirden to prove that the boy and his parents discarded the agreement of marriage on account of dowry will be on you.

They are not directly demanding for dowry but saying someother reasons like , she was born in city, customs are different, she speaks bad words and all the silly reasons.

they did not speak all this before 3 years but they are saying all this now. can i take any legal help to file a case against them.

you have stated in ur first posting that there is written agreement in which dowry payable to the boy is also mentioned. This itself is illegal. Any way, if the boy's side are showing other reasons as mentioned by u in the present posting, your parents along with other mediators may once again try to persuade the boy's side to celebrate the marriage. Even after this if the boy's side is not agreeable, u should seriously think whether it is at all advisable for u to persist in marrying a person who does not have the courage to stand by all the commitments given to u during three years of courting? A woman should in such circumstances take manly decisions. I dont think u should think in terms of filing any case afgainst the boy and his parents. This would not only keep ur parents under financial burden but also mar chances of your getting settled in life early.

First- Made a FIR regarding threat of muder to you , Break the marriage due to dowry, made relation with you on promise of marriage since last 3 yrs. Mental harresment, cheated you & get money from you on promise to marriage.

These are henoius offence that he made. Long impriosonment.

But it will be better- if you still marriage him----that you have to file complaint in WOMAN & CHILD PROTECTION CELL in you area. mediation may solve your problem outside of court.

If you made FIR once- Than its impossible to marriage with him.
