I got married on Jan 9th 2011. I was living in the USA and came to India to get married. We were together for only six months as I had to return to India due to work. My wife was not ready to return to India. She had joined college and returned to India during Feb 2012. She stayed with me for one week and then went to her parents' place in Bangalore. After two weeks, when I did not get any communication from her, I called her parents and was told that she left to USA saying she wanted to live and work there. For the next three months, I had no idea where she lived there or what work she did. After three months, she contacted me and told me that she is sorry and wanted to come back. I agreed but this time again, she spent a few weeks with me and went to Bangalore. After a week, again, she told me that she has got a job in Bangalore and has accepted it.
Now, I have been living alone in Pune since 2011 and she has finally agreed to give me divorce. I did not approach court then as I wanted to concentrate on my career and stabilise it and did not want to get stuck in any legal hassles during this period.
We got married in Bangalore but did not live there. We did not live together in Pune either (total of one month if we combine the few weeks)
Please advice on where I need to file for divorce. She does not want to involve her parents in the divorce process as well.
