Hi,

In our society a member had sold his hlat to his nephew 4 years back , after this transaction still he has not applied for the membership in the society and the old owner still stays in the flat claming he is kept on rent by his nephew as he is out of country.

Need to know What action can be taken by the society in such senario.

have they paid the transfer fees to the society? who is paying maintenace bill for the said flat? if the new member is paying from his account and the society is accepting it then he is deemed to be the member of the society. if the said person comes back then he can apply for memebership, society shall act only after reciept of the transfer form duly signed by the transferor and transferee.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, currently the bill is paid by the old owner on the current owners behalf( as the current owner is his nephew).

as the new owner has still not taken the memebrship the society records still has the old owner as the member.

how long this can stand valid and will this cause any issue to the society.

Thanks and Regards
