Hi Experts,

I need to prepare a document where I want to state that I do not need any share in my husbands property. How can this be done?

If you are Hindu and property of husband is self acquired, you have NO share.

Wife is not coparcener in husbands ancestral proeprty.

For what reason and purpose; you want to state so?

You execute a relinquishment deed that you've  no right title or inteest in your huband's property.Eve if the property is his self acquired sometimes without  any will he dies intestate and  as his legal heir you   get may get a share in his property. If you appreciate  this ansnwer please convey my forum thanks by clicking forum thanks.

Relinquishment/Release/sale/gift........etc can only be from owner/Co-sharer.

If wife is neither owner/Co-sharer what deed she can sign!

You don't have share in property of husband during his lifetime unless you both are co-owner of the property. After the death of husband you can always execute reliquishment deed through whivh you can transfer your share in the inherited property in favour of some one else.

Simply write a relinquishment deed relinquishing the properties he owns right now and he will own in future and sign it in the presence of two witnesses and throw it on the face of the husband and if he wants let him get it registered in the Sub Registrar Office at his own expenses.

During the lifetime of the husband a wife cannot claim any share in her husbands self aquired property , if he died intestate only then she can claim or relinquish her share , before this you need not give any documents.
