Nullity means valid marriage never existed.

Divorce means valid marriage existed which has been ended by divorce.

No social implications what so ever.

If the court nullified the marriage, you can list your marital status as 'Single' ....but after divorce the marital status is 'Divorced'

marital status 'Single' means more hits on your profile in matrimonial sites while seaching for second marriage!!!! After that everything same...

Lay people rarely understand the nuances or distinctions between the words  nullity and divorce of marriage in so far as social aspect of treating the concerned couple who find it more difficult to get another suitabe mate than when they were single without the stigma of court decree granting nullity or divorce of marriage.
