the 2 km footpath on which we used to go for walk in last three years has been occupied gradually by about 37 shops as an encroachment and have made near permanent shops on it . the traffic inspector who stands near the square states that they are responsible for roads and not footpaths. the encroachment has compelled many of us to walk on the roads which has considerable morning rush traffic. is there any high court or supreme court ruling instructing keeping footpaths clear for pedestrians? complaining to corporation and police is of no use as they are party to it. which authority is to be invoked for seeking right s of footpath?
