My wife filed 498A, 125 at criminal court and I filed divorce case also in the year 2012. I got bail of my and my family in 2012. All the cases have started after decision of alimony. Suddenly yesterday police oc of our area told me that my father-in-law had complained against me and lodged gd. He told that I have threatened my wife and my friends also threatened her via telephone. My father-in-law has also threatened the police oc that if he did not initiate investigation he would go to top authority. Although my father-in-law could not tell names of my friends and could not produce any evidence to support his false allegation. The OC has called me and assured that not to worry. I will go today to meet him. There is a possibility he will want money from him. But I dont want to give anything.
My question is what should be my duty now? What can police do?
