Pls. advice -498a ditto same complain

My wife has registered a court case u/s 498a, 232,504,506, 3/4DP to all family members in October 2010, which court has forwarded to mediation and reconciliation centre. After 3 meetings settlement has done in January 2011 and its document was signed by both parties & mediators which mentioned that all disputes has been settled now and according to this registered complaint either party will not claim anything in future.

Then we both started living separately from my parent on rented accommodation and after 6 months she again registered a FIR u/s 498a, 232,504,506, 3/4DP with ditto same complaint on which we have done the settlement earlier. I was taken in to JC for 5 days now I’m on bail, Pls. advise me…

How can on same complaint a FIR can register on which earlier settlement has done.

On the basis of earlier complaint, she filed DV to me & my parents & Sec. 125, and she has not mentioned anywhere in her complaint that she has earlier done the settlement, what are the reasons for not mentioning this settlement and what are the remedies for me… Thnx....

498A is not a compoundable offense to reach an out of court settlement.  It can only be quashed by HC in the interest of both the concerned parties to the case.
