I live in a rented flat in Delhi. The flat has a PNG(piped natural gas) gas connection and meter installed. I go on leave outstation for 15 days or 1 month after locking the flat. My query is if gas leakage occurs in the flat in my absence who will be responsible for that? If high meter reading is generated because of that leakage shall I have to pay that high bill? I do a very small job. Will the gas company recover that high bill from me?

In case of accident, you have to bear the cost. Better serve legal notice to authority for urgent repairing, so that you can claim compensation in future.
You have to oay as oer meter reading.
