POA by a married woman to in-laws

Can a married woman give POA to his in-laws to lease-out and/or sell her apartment/property?

 

If not, what the alternatives are.

Yes, she can.See section 5 of the power of attorney act, read with section 183  of the Indian Contract Act.

Thanks for the reply and clarification.

 

I talked to one lawyer and he said otherwise. According to him, she can give POA only to husband or her parents (not to father-in-law).

 

In general, can a married woman (or any person in general) give POA to any other person to lease-out/sell her (/his) property?
