With due respect to adv Rajeev Rajoo responds, reading per Section 17 (1) (b) and the Provisio to Clause 1 of Section 17, general Power of Attorney is not a compulsory registrable document as per Supreme Court Judgment in Syed Abdul Khader Vs Rami Reddy AIR 1979 SC 536.
