Procedure to speed-up the appeal in high court

The divoce petition filed by wife got dismissed by family court after trial. Then, she filed appeal in high court and after two hearings, since there were no chance for MCD, the court posted the case for trial. Now her advocate threatens that they will drag the case for many years, and the case is not getting posted for last seven months. So, what can I do for speedy trial/disposal of the appeal?

inform the court that the case is not posted for last 7 months and ask the court to issue a show cause notice to the other party. if the other party cannot show proper cause then her appeal will get dismissed and her lawyer cannot save their ass.

The issue is not non-appearance of other party, but not getting date for last seven months..I think her advocate is influencing court people to drage the date..

consult a lawyer who practices in that court , better a govt advocate...........he will help you get ur case on board, this is a normal procedure for them.....you may need to shell out some  money, thats all.
