The lands of which  Inami/vatan rights are abolished are known as Khalsa lands even though in private possession.

Such holder cannot sale Khalsa land without prior of the government.  The state government can permit only after appropriating value (Nazrana) from the seller as determined by The collector and not otherwise.

It is essential for the purchaser that where the charge f government is mentioned as Khalsa in 7/12 extract, he should verify and confirm that the permission for sale and transfer is obtained from the Collector and appropriate value (Nazrana) is paid to the government prior to transaction.

The procedure involves obatining prior governmnet permission and paying a Nazrana ( a fee). The relevant rules are found within the Bombay Land Revenue Code & associated regulations, particularly the alienation of Khalsa Lands.

Steps to be follows:

  1. Verification of Khalsa Land.
  2. Obtaining Government permission.
  3. Nazrana (Fee) Payment.
  4. Transfer & Registration.
