Property from my blood relation on settlement deed

If I get the property from my blood relation on settlement deed and if I may actually make the payment by cheque to my brother & his wife and & his co-brother, will it be an issue?  Even though it is settlement deed in fact I pay for that and brother wants to avoid the tax. Is there any issue in it?   Is it advisable to make payment like that?

Dear Selvakumar,

You can very well do it, but must pay necessary stamp duty and registration fee for that.

CHEQUE PAYMENT WOULD BE BEST.

Cheque payement is the best and safe to avoid future complication
