Property inherited from deceased wife

DEAR SIR.,

AFTER DEATH OF MY WIFE I AND ONLY PROGENY SON GOT JOINT OWNERSHIP OF FLAT THRU THE LEGAL HEIR CERTIFICATE ISSUED BY TN GOVT DEPT.THIS FLAT WAS PURCHASED BY MY LATE WIFE OUT OF HER OWN SAVINGS ALONE.

PL LET ME KNOW IF THE SAID PROPERTY FALLS UNDER THE HEAD OF ANCESTRAL OR NOT.

The ladies property is called shridhana if she dies withot any will it goes to husband.

1) After death of women by Ipso facto the property belongs to Husband. Generally such property earned by her own saving and hard work is not Ancestor property. It is called as self acquired property.

2) If women dies with out making any will then such self acquired property will be devoled to Joint Hindu Family members class one heirs.
