Property mortgage

My grandfather had funded one property in 1909 under a registered mortgage deed at 9% per anum all original documents are with us we do not know weather he has received payor not there are no records it is clearly mentioned in the deed for mortgagers legal heirs that if you don’t have money to pay interest and principal you should sell the property and return the money it is prime property now i would like to know where do we stand in this case
