what is the property right of daughter on the deceased father and mother. Father died in the year 1996 and mother died in 1999 What will be share. They have 3 sons and 2 daughters. No Will written and it’s a NOT a joint property of Father and Mother. It belongs to Father only. It is self occupied property.

There will be 1/5 share of each one unless any one relinquish his share.

If there is NO Will...the succession will be INTESTATE based on Indian Succession Act if the property is self acquired property of Father. What that means is that all siblings ( 3 sons and 2 daughters ) will get equal share , 20 % EACH. Sit down together and try to do it amicably, if possible. Because in the Court, this will be the same position..that means each one of you will get 20 % of the total property as there is no Will.
