Due to financial constraints, one of my friends intend to buy a newly constructed Chawl House from local builder in Titwala (Dist. Thane - Maharashtra). The builder is claiming that the property he is constructing falls under KDMC limits & its a legal property. I would like to know following :
1) Does Chawl houses are legal properties?
2) How to identify whether that property is legal or illegal?
3) If it is legal, which documents required from the builder?
4) 7/12 extract of that property will be on whose name?
5) Will it be on ownership or lease basis?
Apart from above questions, I would like to request you to guide me for purchase of chawl property.
