I am from Bangalore. I got married in march 2016. On the same day night my wife said she is not happy with this marriage and is not ready to accept me as her husband. She refused to reply in spite me of asking repeatedly the reason for her unhappiness. I spoke to her calmly for about 1 hour trying to find out the reason and tried to convince her. Then my wife threatened to stab or prick herself with the broken glass piece to her hand. I snatched the glass piece from my wife's hand to stop her from pricking or stabbing herself, In this process of snatching,, her hand got slightly twisted at the elbow. She had lot of pain, Immediately i took her to the orthopaedics (bone specialist) doctor and the doctor took XRAY of her hand and told there is no fracture and gave medications for pain. After this incident my wife is asking for divorce and she has not spoken to me since then. It has been 6 months after this happened. I tried to call her and message my wife but she didint reply and threatened my parents that she will file police complaint that i am trying to harrass her mentally.
Can my wife put criminal case on me ?
Is there any time limit after which she cannot put criminal case ?
I dont want to take divorce from her,,, Is there any way i can fight in the court of law and avoid taking divorce from her.
