Re-Marriage

How soon  can one remarry after the decree for MCD is obtained from the court ?

I've heard somewhere that you need to wait for atleast 90 days (3 months) before you can remarry. Is that true in the case of MCD.

Yes, It is true that after getting the decree of divorce, one has to wait for the period of 90 days, as the period of 90 days is prescribed by the amended Hindu Marriage Act, for preferring an appeal from the said decree.

no, unless decree is obtained by fraud it is not challengeable. if obtained by fraud it can be challenged anytime even beyond 90 days.

u can marry immediately after MCD.

as said by Avnish Kaur, if  it is mutual consent divorce, you can marry next day itself.
