Registration of will with registrar's office in ap

Dear All

Is registration of "WILL" has different Document Number from regular Sale registration Document Number in Registrar's office in Andhra Prades? Because, when I checked with online portal of the District Registrar of Guntur, with the WILL document number, it is showing other Sale registration documents with the same number of our father's Will. Are the registration numbers not unique? Are "Wills" are registered by havng separate books from sale registrations? Are registered "Will" deed details are not displayed in online portals as in case of other registrations?

Thanks and Regards

Will is a Private Document of a person; Whereas the Sale transaction and other transactions of immovable properties are Public Documents; As per the Registration Act 1908, which is applicable to the entire India, Will and Codicil documents are usually registered in Book-III and the Sale deeds and other related transactions involving transfer of immovable property are entered in Book-I of the particular Registrar office. Hence to find out a document, one has to furnish the Document Number along with its Book Number also.

Any public can get  a Certified copy of a Public Document; but the legal heirs of the deceased Testator alone can get the copy of the Testator's Will or Codicil  document.
