school records of father under RTI

X wanted to get her father school records and Wife also need husband school records to be obtained from government primary school under RTI act....in karnataka is it permissiable Under law..?

bcz pio and 1st appel BEO refused to give info .

Any decisions supportive to wife and daughter to obtain the certified the copies ?

It would be better to seek professional services of a local prudent lawyer for better appreciation of facts/ documents, guidance and necessary action

Please post the response received from the State Public Information officer so that you can go for the First Appeal and also for the second appeal depending on such need. There are no exemptions if the citizen can demonstrate larger public interest, or need and necessity. If the records are available, SPIO has to seek comments from that third party under Sec.10 of the RTI Act before denying such information.
