Yes you have right to war your own case without engaging advocate. There is no rule that you must engage an advocate. The party in person is  allowed to dispute his own case in the Judicial Proceedings. But there is some difficulties in this situation. The fighter should have some knowledge on LAW. If you don’t follow the procedural LAW you may lose on legal points. The Judicial operations are slaves to their own procedures. My kind opinion you please engage an advocate to contest your case.
