Dear Prashant,
To continue with my previous thread the Senior Advocate are not allowed to file Vakalat and they appear alongwith Advocates who brief them.
Also as a matter of practice they do not supposed to directly deal with the clients and they do the same through the via media of Advocates alone.
Best Regards
Daksh

Dear Daksh, thanks for your answer. I, However want to clarify that all the retired judges of the Supreme Court Of India cannot be designated as senior advocates as they cannot practice the profession as an advocate after retirement. Judges of the High Courts, as you rightly pointed out, are automatically designated as senior advocates on their retirement or resignation.
Best Regards
Anuj.
