Separating two different complaints in a petition

Dear expert,

By mistake in a single private complaint petition registered, I have mentioned two different offeces, one Summary against X and another Summons  against Y.  The matter has come for verification, which I have to face.  My question is in this situation what options are available to Judicial officer? Can I request him for amendment or to select Summons case and proceed with the matter by dropping name of the parties in Summary complaint so that another petition can be filed for another complaint?

Awaiting early reply,

Any contradiction is unwarranted.
