SERVICE APARTMENTS in RESIDENTIAL Co-op Hsg Soc

  1. CAN WE HAVE SERVICE APARTMENTS BUSINESS FROM RESIDENTIAL CO-OP HOUSING SOCITIES?
  2. IS SERVICE APARTMENTS BUSINESS A COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY? IF YES, WHAT PERMISSIONS ARE REQUIRED TO RUN SUCH A BUSINESS FROM RESIDENTIAL BUILDING?
  3. CAN A CO-OPERATIVE HOUSING SOCIETY REFUSE PERMISSION FOR ANY COMMERCIAL BUSINESS ACTIVITY BASED ON NUISANCE, ADDITIONAL USE OF WATER & ELECTRICITY AT SUBSIDISED RESIDENTAIL RATES BY THEM THAT IN TURN INCREASE THE SOCIETY MAINTENANCE CHARGES, SECURITY ISSUES DUE TO VARIOUS CUSTOMERS/VISTORS TO THE SERVICE APARTMENTS ETC?

In a Co-operative Housing Society, a memebr can not run (officially) any commercial activities since this is against the Co-op. Acts and Rules prevailing in all the states. However, request to go through the Acts and Rules of  the concerned state.
