Sucession of Grandfather's Property

If a grandfather leaves  a his own property(earned by himself) at the time of his death, who will be the sucessors.

Either his wife or  his male children & femalechildren or grandsons or grand daughters.

The grandmother after the demise of his husband made a partition in favour of her grandsons totally neglecting the interests of granddaughters. The partition is signed by the grandmother and her childrens(4sons &2 daughters) on behalf of the major & minor grandsons.

Is the partition valid when the  granddaughters  who are coparceners in the Hindu Joint family are excluded in the partition.

The partition was made in the year 1994.
