We are transporters mainly operating trucks between various Southern states. But before two months, when we loaded the truck to Punjab for the first time, we have missed to take the Transit Pass at the time of entering U.P. And further it was caught by the mobile squad & we were made to deposit a security deposit of Rs5.20 lacs with Commercial tax department of UP. As per their commitment, Commercial tax dept, need to release the deposit once the load was unloaded in Punjab. So I need a help of a lawyer from UP, in getting the refund. So please suggest me, any tax advocates around Orai / Jhansi in UP to proceed further.
