Dear nikhil,

Practically speaking, CA is very difficult to study.  You would find it difficult to manage your studies in law and CA together.  But the option of CA + Law is good.  But if you are looking to specialise in the taxation field, I suggest you to join a law firm specialised in taxation so that you have bright career in the field of taxation.  Best of luck.

thanx for ur reply, well so is there any course which i could do to help me get advantage and more pay(related to taxation). And is it wasting my time if i do my interns under a C A.

It is enough that you join the practice in taxation law firm, there is no need to do any course to specialise it.   Since you are in the final year it is high time that you should take a correct decision on what you should practice or study further as the decision now you take will decide your future career.

It is your wish to study CA.   I merely stated my personal opinion that CA is difficult.

thanx again

well i want to clear one thing. i am not doin C A course but i m just practising under him to learn more about taxation and legal audit. So i want to know whether by doing so i m wasting my time or nt.

Am i clear now?

The person under whom you are working would be the best person to appraise and clarify your doubts as to whether you are wasting your time or not.  No other person can clarify your doubts.

the thing is that people have encouraged me to work under a CA, I MYSELF DON GET THE LINK THAT HOW CAN IT HELP ME IN ANYWAY, THE CA UNDER WHOM I M WORKIN WAS QUITE SUPRISED ON MY PROPOSAL BUT THEN ACCEPTED. I KNOW IT MIGHT BE HELPFUL IF I BECOME A TAX CONSULTANT.

BUT I WANT TO HAVE MORE OPINION ON IT SO THAT I CAN UNDERSTAND THE LINK BETTER. SO ALL I M LOOKIN FOR IN THIS FORUM IS (TO THROW SOME MORE LIGHT ON THE LINK)

DO U GET IT NOW

R.R. KRISHNAA (Legal Manager)     10 September 2009

What do you mean by DO U GET IT NOW

Is this the way you talk and address your elders in your office and college?  You are only a student.  First learn how to address and respect elders.   You are not supposed to order the Members and Experts of this forum for answers.

yes iknow my approach was nt  gud and i very well know how to respect elders

its just that i m lookin for some help and u r giving me a reply that ask ur senior whether  i m wastin time or not. it was rude from ur side. i mean obviously i ll ask my boss. bt is this the answer i m lookin for by posting this forum

do u still undertand? or want to argue.

i really want to know wat is the link between a CA and tax consultant , can u help.

hello nikhil.taxation is a very practical n lendhy subject.if u want to practise in tax laws than its good to do inturnship under an advocate practising in tax laws.n secondly i want to teel u that its very hard to be sucessful in this field whu dnt u choose another subject.the scope is very limited in tax law now due to various ammendments n due to working procedure.
