Termination during notice period

Is it possible to terminate an employee during notice period? I am in my notice period from September 26,2017 and officially I have to serve 3 months notice. I have taken some leaves during this period for which my salary was deducted. Now my boss is telling that my performance is low so they will terminate me. Is it possible to terminate an employee on low performance grounds during the notice period
