I do not understand why Bonds need to be taken from employees. Interview expenses are necy forthe company, so also training. And why shd an employee not shift if he gets a good offer.Well they may initially fix a reasonable amount as fees for training and fix a reasonabe period for service if the amount is not paid back.
This amount for training (not interview) shd be fixed in consultation with the Labour Commnr and a senior advocate (over 15 years) practicing in such matters.
I have also faced this bond harassment. Why shd someone be tied/chained to one company for life/long term.
One PSU took a bond for giving 2 years leave (without pay) for higher studies at my cost and took a bond for 10 years. It did not give me a suitable job on resumption and when I got one elsewhere they stuck their foot and said that I must pay Rs10 lakhs. What for???
As on date I have not got the relieving letter despite my follow-up with the PSU.Even senior executives are unable to se reason and help me out.
Recently Mah govt asked doctors (MD) to serve in PHC for 2 years as their medical education was subsidised by the Govt. The Doctors went to HC and it ruled that they need not work in PHC as their specialisation would go waste. They may be apptd in Asst prof range/grade.
That is a blow for the students from a very obnoxious bond culture.I hope someone a PIL and gets all bomds annulled.
There must be fairness in what anyone does.It is better to nip it in the bud than fight for years later on.
