Respected Experts,
We have ancestral agricultural land in our village. After the death of my father, this entire land got transferred in the name of my mother. We three daughters of our parents are the only natural and legal heir of the property left by my parents.
After the death of my mother in Aug. 2008, our cousins unlawfully got the land transferred in their name. When we came to know about this, we contested the case in the court of the Tehsildar. Our mother had written a registered will also wherein she had written that her property to be equally distributed among we sisters. On the basis of the will, the tehisldar decided the case in our favour in may 2013.
After that our cousins appealed for the reviewing the decision in the court of SDO/SDM in May 2013.
It has been over an year but no decision has been taken yet by the court on our cousin's appeal. This delay suits to our cousins as the SDM court has stopped any action to be taken on the decision of the Tehsildar court.
Please tell us is there any time limit specified for deciding on appeal of the property cases in the revenue courts or it usually takes so long?
Best Regards,
Sanjeeva
