Time limit of replying to appeal under 43(1)(c) cpc

Although there is no provision in cpc to file reply of appeal but if  respondent wants to submit any reply ,he can file  with the permission of court.

What you say is right and that is what teh CPC says but what should an appealant do in a case where the respondent is neither filing a reply, nor arguing his case and tetarget='_blank' rel='nofollow' hrefore the appeal has been dragging for 5 months without any progress?

You can pray before the court to fix the date for hearing of your appeal because the respondent  I presume must have received the notice by now.
