How to get details of Top Bank Defaulters through RTI?
Each Debt Recovery Tribunal will have complete information of the Top Bank Defaulters who are Certificate Debtors. Recovery Certificates issued against the Top Bank Defaulters will contain their names, address and the amount of debt.
Recovery Certificate is a public domain information which can be accessed through RTI.
Each DRT may be asked for the following information under RTI Act.
- Copy of Recovery Certificates issued by DRT where the Certificate Debt is Rs. 1 Crore and above
- Total amount involved in the above recovery certificates
- Total amount recovered in the above recovery certificates
- Names of the Certificate Debtors who have been committed to Civil imprisonment in respect of the above recovery certificates, under the provisions of clause (b) of section 25 of the RDDB&FI Act, 1993
