Traffic police remove keys from bike

Dear Sirs,

i am new to this site . can any one tell me that Traffic police can remove key from your bike ? in our area when traffic police are on dutie the stops people & immedately remove keys from the bikes & keep it with them after that they will ask for license or other documents . also the stops & ask for our bag open it & start checking { its good to prevent terror } but do they have any special permission or they can check any one ?

please answer my both questiong

1) can traffic police remove keys from our running bike?

2) foricing us to give bag for checking?

Actually police cannot do like that, but they are police people if you resist you will have to face unnecessary harrasment from the police. Police will bend only to the politicians.
