It is believed that you are all Hindu. Confirm!

Death certificate, legal heir certificate are basic requirements in such matters.

Inquire the procedure from O/o Authority under whose jurisdiction property falls for such matters (Intestate Succession).

The Grandmother was Maternal or Paternal?

Grandmother's share shall devolve upon her Legal Heirs and all shall need to relinquish/release/gift/sell/transfer etc etc in favor of Mother.

Did you inquire the procedure from O/o Authority under whose jurisdiction property falls for such matters (Intestate Succession)?

If yes: what their reply is?

In case of Hindu Woman the nature of property and its source matters.

In case of self acquired/absolute property the 1st right is of her husband and sons and daughters (equal share).
