What is this 12 hour working in new labour law 2021?

Respected Lawyers,

I refer to this https://www.dnaindia.com/personal-finance/report-new-labour-code-news-salary-pf-gratuity-working-hours-take-home-money-october-1-narendra-modi-2907891

What is the meaning of working hours changes from 9 hours to 12? (It's a different story that as such many private companies expect their employees to work overtime and 11 - 12 hour work per day is common in private IT industries)

Will it be applicable to privately held companies and in what way it's likely to impact on working hours? Just curious? Thanks and regards.

Hello. Talking about working hours changes, the Labour Ministry is now considering giving flexibility to companies to have four working days instead of five or six. This implies that there will be long working hours if the working days are reduced. For instance, a four working day week will have to meet the 48-hour weekly work hours, resulting in daily shifts of 12 hours, which also reduces if there is a five-day or six-day working week. The new wages code makes it compulsory for organizations to make sure that 50% of employees’ CTC is basic pay, while the remaining 50% comprises other employee allowances, including house rent, overtime, etc. There is also a rule incoming that for any 15 minutes or more overtime will be attracting overtime payment to the employees. Hope this helps Regards

New labour laws are legislated for the benefits of the weak individuals. The choice of the thesis writing service reviews is ensured for their forms. Partners filed for the use of the voices for all baths for the team in this ambit.
