What proof do I need to get someone convicted

I invited my friend to my house. After he left my wallet was missing. He stole my wallet as it was lying there on sofa.Im sure he did it as there was no one in the house except him and me. I have no evidence or eyewitness and hes saying no he didnt do it. What all proof do I need to get him convicted or does it itself has enough circumstantial evidence to get convicted. This is all facts I have. I want to know about conviction is it enough or not. And hes blaming that I am lying. Do I need to prove that I am not lying.

Yes, you shall be required to prove that you had vallet which was stolen and it is your friend who committed theft. Be sure and confirmed before proceeding further otherwise levelling of false allegation may be proved fatal to you.

Seems futile exercise here.

You can just take a chance. If this clicks your luck then you will be in a good ground.

Don't ask him anything. Invite him next time & try to create the same circumstance.

If he really has a culpit mind, then he MAY do this again.

Record all the thing using hidden camera.
