Neither Constitution of India nor any prevailing law in India permits any body to take one's life, may it be of own. Thus Supreme court has rightly appreciated the law of land.

i think it is a well thought out verdict.but many other things have to be taken into cosideration and explained to the people in detail.nobody shld take advantage of it whether they are relatives or doctor/s of the patient.

I think the Supreme Court is not legalized the euthanasia, but it held in its' verdict that the medication of the particular person may be stopped, which have been administering for the survive of that person, who is in coma several years. The S.C. is rejected the petition of another person for euthanasia. However if it becomes a practice, it is a weapon of wrong doer.
