All matters involving Nation's prestige and dignity should be safeguarded at any cost.

now a days it has become a fashion to write something wretched, defamatory about great personalities and become famous. it is totally disgusting . the so called author should be punished for defaming Mahatma and also our natIon as Gandhiji is FATHER OF OUR NATION--javid shaikh

In India Law is made every now and then for anything which politicians think could gain them. Citizens are fed-up with all these law, as they are not helping any common man, there are thousands and lacs of other problems for which lawmakers can think for helping a common citizen, Gandhiji had done what was good at that time, now one should leave Gandhiji for writing on him.

I accept that Gandhiji had given gr8 contribution to this country. But I also think we easily make any person as god after that personification starts and goes on n on. Then we generally dont accept wrongs of that person bcoz he has become super human in our eyes. Before criticizing any body first of all we shall have to think about the circumstances, state of mind, option open to that person and after analyzing all this we can come on conclusion. No body shall think that " I am always right " Before talking on this subject how many of us read the philosophy of Gandhiji. Has the Concept of stateless society read by any body? Law cannot be a solution but education can be.

Considering his fight for the nation, I support for not making law but for punishing the personality insulting.

We should respect freedom of expression as envisaged under our Constitution. No one is above Constitution, not even Gandhiji.
